Learn how to take a wildlife/conservation photo project idea from concept to publication during this low-stress, highly informative workshop. Professional wildlife and conservation photographer Sebastian Kennerknecht will share his experiences of how to plan out a project, shoot it, and distribute it as a package with the most impact. The presentation style will allow you to ask questions pertinent about your own project ideas, giving you the greatest benefit of a smaller course size.

Starting a wildlife/conservation photo project: Subject matter, storyline, end goal.
Planning may be the most important part of any photography project. During this class we will discuss how to choose your project, how to research it, how to build a storyline, and how to determine your deliverables and aims of the project.
March 4, 2021: 8 – 10pm ET
Shooting a wildlife/conservation photo project: Finding your subject, making human connections, learning new skills.
The fun field part of a project is of course the actual photography. We will discuss the tactics of finding your target animals, connecting with biologists, conservationists and NGOs, photography techniques, and how to approach pushing your photographic boundaries while in the field.
March 6, 2021: Noon – 2pm ET
Sharing a wildlife/conservation project: How to distribute your project
Now that you have all of those beautiful wildlife images and high impact conservation photos, it’s all about having the biggest impact with them by getting them into the world. We will discuss how to approach photo editors and publishers as well as best social media strategies.
