“Where Valor Rests”

Workshop regulars were major contributors to the book, “Where Valor Rests,” published in May and featured in excerpts of National Geographic and American Photo magazine’s cover story, both in the June issues. The book salutes Arlington National Cemetery and includes spectacular panoramic pictures from Bruce Dale, light-painting pictures by Dave Black, behind-the-scenes pictures of the honor guard by David Alan Harvey, landscapes by Dick Durrance II and composites photographs by James Balog. The whole project and book was organized by Rich Clarkson with military laison, Lt. Col. Michael Edrington, a two-time attendee at the Summit Workshops. The project also culminated in an exhibition ceremony at Arlington May 18 attended by many Washington officials including the secretaries of the Army and Air Force.
