Two college students who had both attended 2015 Summit Workshops have both now been recognized by College Photographer of the Year for their outstanding work.

Carolyn Van Houten, attendant of the 2015 Nature Workshop, was voted College Photographer of the Year, in addition to winning gold awards for her portrait work, silver awards for her feature and domestic picture story work, and awards in excellence in portrait and sports feature.

Kelsey Brunner, attendant of the 2015 Lighting Workshop, won an Award of Excellence for Spot News with an outstanding photo of a tanker-trailer explosion.

What an incredible job by both of these talented, young photojournalists! We at the Summit very much look forward to seeing the careers of both of these women skyrocket into success.
