PhoDOGrapher – When Dogs Are Studio Photographers

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but you can teach dogs to be studio photographers….. At least you can in Japan, where a few dogs were highlighted in the 3.5 minute video, “PhoDOGrapher.” A group of pet food brands in Japan wanted to conduct the experiment and see if dogs could actually be on the other side of the lens.

“Our dogs are always the ones being photographed,” the companies wrote. “What if they could take pictures of us?”

The video starts with three families who all love taking pictures of their dogs. But when those families were invited into a studio to take family portraits, they were thoroughly surprised to see the one taking the pictures would be their very own furry friend. Equipped with a Hasselblad medium format camera and a large red button shutter release mounted on top, the dogs were firing frames left and right and capturing great photos.
