126-Year-Old Statue Destroyed by Selfie-Taking 24-Year-Old

A selfie-taking 24-year-old in Portugal is in the news after toppling and destroying a 126-year-old statue while trying to take a selfie. Hopefully he got the last picture of the statue intact…

The statue in question was one of child-king Dom Sebastiao and it was sitting atop a pedestal in Rossio railway station in Lisbon for the past 126 years, that is, until the selfie got the best of it.
