Instagram has constantly been making changes and updates like allowing users to post longer videos, but now they’re making another big change in the form of a face-lift. Instagram has revealed a new logo as well as a completely new app interface, but thankfully the functionality of the app has remained completely intact.
The new Instagram logo ditches the rainbow strip inspired by the Polaroid OneStep Land Camera and replaces it with a colorful background gradient.
Additionally, the Layout, Boomerang, and Hyperlapse apps also have brand new logos based on the same color gradient.
Although Instagram may have a new look, it still works almost exactly the same way. If anything, using the app has become even more simplified as it has a very minimalist, black-and-white look to it now. Since the app itself has been drained of some of it’s color and character, more emphasis is added to the photos and videos on the user’s feed which is ultimately the end-goal for Instagram.
