Don has a strong passion for many communities, like the Native Americans, and sharing their stories and passions. He is a great teacher and will push you to be your best.

My Story

A Jesuit priest, he has been a professor of journalism holding the prestigious Heider endowed chair at Creighton University where he once directed the fine and performing arts department before spending a year traveling the world to 40 countries documenting the work of Jesuits for the Jesuit Refugee Service. He has photographed major stories for the National Geographic magazine. Among his awards have been the Kodak Crystal Eagle award and was named Nebraska’s “Artist of the Year” in 2006 at the Governor’s Arts Awards ceremonies in Lincoln. His a 50-year career is best summarized by his business card which reads: “Priest, Professor, Photographer.”
